This guys story about being a prisoner in "the troubled-teen industry" should be read by everyone. It's a bitter dose of reality but is very well done and you'll know more about a powerful industry which only still gets away with corruption on this level because so many people don't know about it.

no, I got dropped off at one before and I assure you my parents didn't have enough money for anything

so if that kid is not doing as you demand you drop em off there...lol Of course kids should probably listen to their parents but this seems a little far...

then they go to these places and get beaten by staff or sexually abused...
