I lost my mind because I realized that majority was everything. That gossip, lies and stupidity, by being accepted by the majority of people they could turn themselves into what was righteous. That's why I chose arrogance and loneliness. It was the only way I could save what I believed was right.

I don’t see any arrogance in this post or in Hibiki’s actions; it’s more like loneliness caused by psychological isolation, rather than “arrogance and loneliness”. Feeling like an alien among your own kind. You can be around people, but knowing they will never accept the objective truths you have can be an alienating feeling.

I don’t think that’s arrogant. He may have worded that weirdly, but I believe I understand what he’s trying to convey and I empathize. I believe we all have felt that way at one point or another, or still do, even if we wear a mask and hide it.
