People usually blame the Iraq on the U.S greed for oil and that is said to be the prime reason for the invasion. It is true that oil in Iraq was one of the motivations for the war but it was not for the benefit of the U.S but for the benefit of Israel.

They bring in money for the corporation. For that reason, their geopolitics favor the MIC and Israel mutually but not the US citizens.
