How many members does the World Federation of Advertisers represent? I know they always trot out the advertising boycotts whenever there is controversy, but surely there are enough companies and advertisers that are done with all this bullshit that will still put ads on free speech sites and platforms. Free speech on the big tech monopolies has been dead for years.

Centralized advertising agencies are corrupt and evil and worry more about their sushi than the shit they shovel - I know first hand having animated more TV commercials than I should have.

It just occurred to me /u/d3rr - if you want to create the next best thing for our resistance against tyranny, I recommend developing some kind of decentralized advertising system, perhaps with cryptocurrencies, perhaps federated, and ideally with many modular variables. This system for the little-guy should cater to individuals and groups on both ends of the transaction as well as the platform in the middle - including many options on how people wish to be associated, what subjects, topical, regional, environmental, ethical, what products/services, tracking, privacy options, etc etc etc. Simple, but not.
