We can imagine at least on scenario where a mask "works" The scenario where a COVID-19 infected person takes a big slobbering sneeze all over your face. In at least this one case, if you were both wearing masks it's reasonable to suppose that the amount of mucous upon which the virus rides would be reduced enough to prevent a transmission.

But beyond that scenario, I think masks are not actually helping. It's just the state taking the virus as an opportunity to train people into submission. If people sneeze into their elbows 100% of the time, we're all good.

In Canada the guverment made a law to force all businesses to force anyone entering their premises to wear a mask.

in the united states, the 'guverment' cannot make you weak a mask. when entering a business, if one has been told by doctor to not wear mask due to breathing problems, one doesn't have to. the business can't deny service according to the american disability association. the business is not allowed to ask one what one has discussed with a doctor, because it's non of their business, and it's illegal.

Well it's pretty much the same here: because forcing people directly to wear masks would infringe on their rights, they have to order corporations and businesses to force people to wear a mask. Well, it's not technically "forcing" because theoretically, you could decide to not do business with them at all. With NONE OF THEM, even though that is essentially putting a stop to your entire life.

Technically you could get a federal regulation stating that businesses have to enforce mask wearing in the USA as well. Businesses have no rights to defend, but they have the privilege of "entering into private transactions" with their clientele, making them perfect proxies for totalitarianism. Same as here.

Here too, there are medical exemptions, but they are only these: if your face is so deformed that a mask can't be made to fit, or if you are so retarded that you can't understand you need to wear a mask and are going to remove it anyway. And here too, nobody can ask you what you discussed with your doctor.

It's again extremely impressive how Americans know NOTHING about what life is like with their closest neighbors while said neighbors know more than most people living there how things are. I don't understand why that is.

In Germany its way easier: You just gotta have some sort of asthma (maybe even other respiratory diseases qualify for this, idk). Then you can get a certificate to not wear a mask.

But i do it anyway most of the times because my mask looks nice, i don't wanna offend any sheeple and i'm bored by the discussions about it.

I even started wearing different handmade masks fitting my mood and style of the day.

On construction sites nobody gives a shit as long as no controlling instance is nearby and the fences around it are high enough. We are sweating there like elks in this time of the year almost all of the time so why just accept another bullshit handicap ? It is an unwritten law there to not hassle somebody else doing their job as long as you don't have to.

the thumbnail for this post looks like a rare pupper, but the full-size image does not.
