It's difficult to imagine the feeling of pulling into the driveway of the home that you fled anticipating an imminent tsunami.
Returning to that place after living in a govt shelter for 7 years, because a tsunami wrecked the low-budget beachfront nuke safety package, which randomly (but severely) contaminated the community you were born and raised in.

Now you're back, because the shelter is closing. The 'authorities' claim it's safe to return. The recognised safe level of radiation has been increased, so now it's safe to return to your former home.
