The antidote is the poison.

guys, its not about the vaccine, it's about the covid passport. research ID2020, they will create a central database for all world citizens and use it as a platform for a new world government.

Antivaxxer nutjob. Slightly misleadingly refers to himself as "Dr Tony Rogers in his vax rants, even though his PhD is in economics.

Only a complete fool will take the covid vaccine.

Ok, stick the cap on me then.

didn't some dude already tried this when the virus fad started? he got some exprimental vaccine and he had bad side effects... he went on TV to talk about it. Vaccine damage can be death, brain damage, seizures... that's with decade long vaccines, let alone an experimental/rushed one; I'm no anti vaxxer but would not take a risk like that for a virus that is absolutely not worth it.

yeah i'm good dude, i think i'll take every vaccine i can. once this thing is confirmed to be working you can catch me getting it first chance i get because i'm not retarded

[–]noice 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

I think we should seek to understand each other, rather than suggest opposing viewpoints are 'retarded'.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

i don't think i can comprehend genuinely thinking vaccines are bad and that you shouldn't take them.

It's not a black and white issue. A lot of people who would normally comply with vaccines are skeptical of this one, myself included. Any Covid vaccine will be rushed to market, with far less testing than usual. Many of the proposed vaccines are RNA vaccines, which have basically never been widely used in humans before, and could theoretically even be used nefariously.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

ah ok, if we're talking about a covid vaccine i will say i have to agree that it will be tested less and will most likely be rushed. i thought this was like general anti-vaccine so i misunderstood

not all antivaxxers are crazy soccer moms. companies can make mistakes, products can have defects; even a batch of products. there are clear examples in the past (the infamous tylenol case, and many others)

it's not a trivial thing when resulting damage can be brain damage or seizures. most of these topics are taken to extremes and people focus on the ego side of the debate, "who is MORE right"... "who is dumber"

reasonable people can understand non-radical views fron both sides

vaccine safety is not anti vaxxine, it's just consumer common sense

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

fair enough, being aware of what you're getting is indeed important when it comes to health or medicine. i just find it unreasonable to think that all vaccines are bad, or that you shouldn't take any. as it's been shown that vaccines DO help your body resist infections.

[–]book-of-saturday 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

yeah this ain't reddit. both pro and antivaxxers want the best for their health and think the other side is brainwashed. what if for ONCE, people joined opposing views and worked together for the truth

vaccines are products, and as products they should have quality and safety standards, that's not a radical stance

Never taken a flu shot, and I'm certainly not going to take a rushed and untested vaccine for a virus with an very low mortality rate.

I'm not full conspiracy, but I do think these drug trials seem a bit rushed, and it's alarming how many doses are being prepared even before research is finished.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

I mean it makes sense they are rushed normally a vaccine takes years or even decades to make but with this time is of the essence. The question is is it safe and even pro vaccine people will admit that a vaccine that is rushed and not tested could be dangerous.

[–][deleted] 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

It makes no sense because absolutely no one is dying from this virus.

If reinfection with different strains did cause more issues like in Dengue, it could become more desirable but, in that case, the vaccine would likely be as bad as the disease and people should avoid infection at all costs.

The only situation where one could possibly want the vaccine is in the conspiracy scenario. Why do you get rid of slaves who would follow orders to jump off a cliff just as readily? It makes no sense. You get rid of the conspiracy theorists.

[–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

some are dying but the main problem with this is it stays in your body for life and slowly eats away at your organs. I wish they'd publicize this more but I think the media and dems have a tug of war between getting people to lockdown and wear masks and not wanting people to be furious at china, who released this bioweapon on purpose, and demanding war as recompense. Speaking of conspiracy theories this is the real one. I get not wanting to have lockdown because it hurts the economy, and masks are just annoying. But this disease does suck and it's best to just not catch it. It's the difference between dying at 85 or 65 and that does matter to me. But we can't lockdown and wear masks forever, just not realistic, so that is why a vaccine is needed.

I'd be interested in taking a look at those studies and deciding for myself. Got links?

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

all viruses are like that

msm not wanting to mention this too much or people panic

wuflu bioweapon is real and the fact it is killing mainly boomers is bad for many reasons

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

what kind of sucks is I think the vaccine will be ok for people 25+ and up to take but it will cause autism if a brain is still developing.

You are more than welcome to be the first casualty of the vaccine. Go ahead, I'll stand back and watch.

I'm all for passing the privilege to be among the first vaccinated to other people! And only when there's enough other people vaccinated - and the statistics available - I'll consider taking this gift of the progress for myself!
