Quote from the article "When we met in 1986, Epstein’s double identity intrigued me — he said he didn’t just manage money for clients with mega-fortunes, he was also a high-level bounty hunter. Sometimes, he told me, he worked for governments to recover money looted by African dictators. Other times those dictators hired him to help them hide their stolen money."

I just thought this was an interesting bit of background information.

It's pretty common for those in high finance to get involved in knowingly hiding the proceeds criminal corruption or theft if the client is rich enough. It's also common those same people will be asked by government to help them know which dodgy schemes are being used, how to track the owners and how to stop them. This isn't as crazy as it sounds, it's actually business as usual.

Remember the case tied to Epstein where the judges son and husband were shot? Isn't that exactly what the court case was about? That the bank was negligent in identifying that they were laundering money for a human trafficker?
