I refute your "religion of peace" argument with evidence to the contrary. Then you reply "well these are complex issues, you have to consider some of these people aren't doctors, they're poor, they have vast ethnic differences" and so on. Who's shifting the goal posts?

I'm posting about a 60-year-old BUYING a 9-year-old wife he's going to RAPE, asking you if he could do so as a Christian, and what was your answer? Hm... That's right, a lot of nothing. Good job. Are you a jewish muslim perchance?

And now you went on the offensive about nuns wearing veils. I think they CHOSE to become nuns, knowing full well they would wear a veil. Yeah, goal posts huh? EDIT: you're comparing a freaking HEAD SCARF to, in many cases wearing something that hides them entirely.

I don't know if you know how crime works, but Christians are capable of rape too. That is Arab culture to some extent man, Arab Christians do that too. I am definitely convinced that those practices have a higher correlation with education, wealth and culture. You don't see these problems pop up in the well educated South Asian Muslim populations. Even polygamy has a severe stigma across South Asian Muslims, it instantly leaves you a social pariah and isn't considered acceptable even though it is legally permitted. Once again, a lot of the problematic claims are sourced to apocrypha, in this case about Aisha through her own narration allegedly according to Bukhari. It is important to consider that Shia Muslims do not hold Aisha or her narrations in high regard. Aisha herself was like a massive political leader, kind of like a Benazir Bhutto of her time, and there are concerns among Shias that her supporters used religion as a means to reinforce problematic cultural problems through the Hadith apocrypha.

Evidence, please. Also yes, there are criminal Christians, who commit all kinds of atrocities. But it's AGAINST THEIR RELIGION to do so, unlike that guy buying a 9-year-old wife.

How do you differentiate between those and overall Westernization? It's easy to confuse the two. You would have to have some potent and serious statistical analysis to do so. Otherwise it's just your opinion. So again, please provide objective evidence.

And so now we are discussing the difference between the Shiites and the Sunnis? That's thoroughly besides the topic, and of no interest whatsoever. I'll let you muslims war that out between yourselves.

We're discussing Muslims and Islam. It is besides the topic? Okay, sorry for bringing a little bit of nuance to the discussion. Treating all Muslims the same would be like punishing all Protestants for something Catholics did. If you're going to comment on this issue, you should know the difference and why it matters.

OK but why, they are both muslims. If Sunnis are more violent and Shiites are peaceful, then it remains that you can't call "Islam" a "religion of peace".

Iran hasn't fought an offensive war in two hundred years. Their religious leadership, regardless of what you might think of them, declared the development of nuclear weapons un-Islamic. They just don't like American interference in their business, which has a long history going back decades. CIA was heavily involved with regime change there and British Petroleum exploited the resources. Prior to the climax of this meddling from foreign forces, Iran was doing pretty well. It was wealthy and an example of religious toleration for its neighbors.

Yes, I know all this already. They are also, along with Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea, one of the very few nations without a Rothschild central bank, and this is the reason why they get badmouthed on the mainstream media.

I am not at all in the "let's nuke all muslims" camp that you might assume. I am more like "just leave them be" because you know what, it's what we, white nationalist christians, like and want to do: just get on with our lives peacefully. To expand on this, the Christian faith is the only one that sanctifies any and all human life as holy and sacred. The others don't.

And THIS is why there is a current war on White Christians. Muslims are BEING USED in this war against us. I don't like it. Not one bit. Am I foolish enough to think that Muslims are somehow powerful enough to threaten our Western civilization by themselves? Of course not. But inside jobs, conspiracies and trojan horses abound, and here we are, with a muslim invasion everywhere.

And if you think Muslims and Christians can share land peacefully, you got a surprise coming in the form of religious civil war, worldwide, this decade.

I never said this nonsense. Can you not read the words I write to you? Stop putting words in my mouth. Every individual has the capacity to do good or evil, it doesn't matter whether you're Sunni or Shia or Christian or Jewish even.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

No, Jews are ONLY capable of EVIL. But that is also besides the point. I never asserted you wrote something as simplistic as what I pointed to. I'm just saying if "un-peacefulness" is attributable to muslims, it doesn't matter if you find exceptions, even large numbers who form a subgroup.

My point was not a Sunni vs Shia thing. I'm saying, you can't take the opinions of a large chunk of Christians who are Catholic and say all Christians do this or that. Describing Christianity is much more complex than that, religion in general is a much more complex phenomenon. I just wish you'd have the ability to see the same nuance within a Muslim population. The Quran is a very open ended and esoteric book, it contains very little legal pronouncements and many people have different opinions and interpretations.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yes, which is why there are the Hadith, the mullahs and all the other stuff I don't even know the name of. You aren't refuting any of my arguments or providing the asked-for evidence to support your own.

According to the Bible, Mary and Joseph's ages are unspecified. According to apocryphal accounts, Mary may have been "between 12-14" while Joseph was 90. Now that the issue makes sense to you with an appropriate analogy, I'd like to ask you what Joseph and Mary's age has to do with religion at all? I personally have no religious motivation to seek out the ages of these religious figures so exactly through the use of apocryphal accounts. I prefer my primary sources (Bible, Quran, Torah) when discussing religion and I treat apocryphal texts like journalism, it is way easier to twist meanings and narratives over there but it is a necessary part of the canon
