I'm in one of the few countries that got a headstart on it: closed the border early and quarantined the few people who already had it. Now theres no cases left here and we quarantine anyone entering the country. The rest of us go about our lives like normal, and the economy lives on.

It definitely exists, and the governments don't gain anything from imposing quarantines. It hurts the economy, which makes the government looks bad.

The main part thats bullshit is deciding that anyone who died during this period died because of Covid, no matter what. Your country is the only one doing that.
