No, the truth is, there are lots of people these days who don't belive property rights exist. These people would, if their ideology was brought to it's logical conclusion, steal the last shirt off your body and not have a shred of remorse about it. We have large portions of the population who are brainwashed by Marxists, who would bring western civilization to the ground. These people would, if they got their way, have you shot dead in the ground if you refused to surrender your means to defend yourself to their government. This is not an artificial divide. We are not people who ultimately want the same thing but are just played against each other. No. Our society is undermined by very evil people who need to be put in their place if we are to survive. That is the truth.

Yet many of these brainwashed Marxists would argue that people who oppose them are fighting for the same things you oppose here and make the same arguments you have just made. For the sake of discussion what ideology do you prescribe to?

So am I. The main distinction I perceive isn't left/right but authoritarian/libertarian. Fascists have also historically been very keen on disarming people for easier disposal.
