Amazing with so many people on earth we don't have hundreds of captcha companies!

i remember a lot of frameworks that had their own captchas, but they got phased out for the google one. they said we were helping to digitize books but now not so much.

i just looked for alternatives and didn't find much. if there's not a nice open source one there should be.

So for the uninformed it is now illegal to use a tor browser, for anything—is that right?

i dont think so. government organizations, intel agencies, the military etc are using tor all the time. although they have their own internet as well.

What do you mean "this site uses it too" ? Is saidit.net requiring you to use google captchas ? If that is the case it might be due to some of your software / settings. I would not post here if I'd have to enable ANY google scripts in order to do so. Same reason why I'm not on voat.

SaidIt is using Cloudflare. If cloudflare is suspicious of your ip, it will force you to do a recaptcha before being able to access the site.

I have mixed feelings about Cloudflare myself, but it has kept the lights on here so far.

Thank you for clarifying.
