Part 1: "Confirmed deaths" is a load of shit, regardless. The numbers vary from source to source.

Part 2: The US military does not count the number of people they maim and kill, intentionally or "collaterally" for a number of reasons.

Part 1. It's the best guess of the authorities.

Part 2. What does the military have to do with this?

Authorities will do whatever it takes to maintain authority over you. Trust if you must but ALWAYS verify.

The military was part of my lame sarcastic joke. Whether they use bombs or bio-weapons it's all tied together.

I have an extended family member who is a doctor. Her personal advice is the same as the authorities'. Have you verified anything to back up your claim of "load of shit"?

You can look over a lot of my posts. Kim Iversen doesn't have an agenda. She's typically a democratic progressive but for this event she's been particularly skeptical and open minded and actually done the research into the numbers, as many others have, and found them more than wanting. She cites her sources and you can look them up yourself. Or read through /s/CoronaVirus for more.

And that's just Kim.

Also, my dad is a doctor. He's also a smart idiot sometimes, and he cautious but skeptical usually, and knows there are serious systemic problems with medicine. (My brother is a chiropractor, altogether different, and my other brother has a doctorate even more different, and is a private school principal. Other family members are doctors too. I'm a flunky animation director.)

Kim does have an agenda - getting sponsored on Patreon by spewing sensationalist crap. All I see is videos of her claiming stuff in front of the camera, with nothing to back it up.

This is garbage. I can't look through hours of bullshit video.

Take this one. Garbage.

  1. No actual study is mentioned, only in the title - bait and switch.
  2. Only her talking head, and a map of temperature.
  3. No links or references.

Give me a fucking break. Then everyone has an agenda to eat. How much are you getting paid to shill contrarian bullshit here? If she's sensationalist then I'm a giraffe.

I'm done with you shill / sheeple / normie / troll, whatever the fuck you are.

This video's description has actual links to actual experts that are disagreeing. Props for that. For this reason, I will review some.

Links 1-4 are about 2008's overwhelmed hospitals, which I do not dispute.

Link 5:

Hendrik Streeck: No proof coronavirus can be spread while shopping, says leading German virologist

He said he was not calling for the end to social distancing but there remained unknowns about the virus that may throw current guidance into doubt.

So much for disagreeing.

Link 6:

This one has a collection of experts and a huge tracking token which I stripped off.

Dr Sucharit Bhakdi: "We are afraid that 1 million infections with the new virus will lead to 30 deaths per day over the next 100 days. But we do not realise that 20, 30, 40 or 100 patients positive for normal coronaviruses are already dying every day."

Germany's deaths have surpassed 100 per day since March 31st.

Dr Wolfgang Wodarg - <<We should be asking questions like “How did you find out this virus was dangerous?”, “How was it before?”, “Didn’t we have the same thing last year?”, “Is it even something new?”>>

On his website, his explanation for Italy (English translation) is based on mortality rate with old data. He prefers herd immunity, which the UK is also implementing, and the cases overwhelmed the hospitals.

This actually made me think. How long will it take indeed? How fast can the medical system grow? What will the treatment capacity be? These are all questions unanswered by the authorities.

Then I found this Guardian article.

Its mortality rate is higher, there is little evidence that it is seasonal, and it poses a far greater threat to the NHS. Without a programme of community surveillance and contact tracing, the virus will continue to spread. Britain will be subject to routine flare-ups and repeated lockdowns.

The government and its advisers are now committed to their strategy of delaying the spread of coronavirus, which they hope will eventually lead to herd immunity.

Seems they gave up, and are merely using the lockdown as a last-ditch effort. They lost the fight with the virus. It will get to everyone; the only difference is slightly more people will get treatment. Slightly, because they can't keep the lockdown forever.

You as my pen pal

I thank you for persisting. Albeit you have not had been very tactful in this debate and did not address my concerns directly, I have been able to find what I was looking for in links of your links.

While I appreciate your critical view of government, I have only witnessed outright malevolence in very few places.

I stand with my belief that, at least in the topic of handling the outbreak, the government is merely inept and/or stupid as per your comment.
