Probably not wrong, but it's just a collection of stuff you would find on any conspiracy forum. Imho the Catholic Church is a separate issue, those are low-level priests whose actions were covered up, sometimes to avoid embarrassment to the Church, but also because of Seal of the Confessional which ideally prevents the Church from acting as a spying apparatus for the state.

I like to think of this as in corruption: It's not the same a banker pulling strings to evade taxes and some guy who fixes your freezer and gets paid cash without declaring taxes. But usually the knowledge of higher spheres of crime makes the individual don't feel like their actions are "bad"
