A+++ !!!

SCIENTISM is blind faith in the corporatocracy science that is proprietary, private, and for profit and control.

It's not true transparent open science.

One of my favourite movies. Pretty bleak though. We're not there yet but let's not be apathetic to what might happen when the authorities start resorting to draconian measures stifling our civil liberties. The short film the movie is based on.

This is the end game!!! EPIC video!

So helpful on a personal level too. Until watching this, I didn't know how to proceed with my Bittersweet Seeds story set in 25-30 years. This end game hasn't really changed - I was just temporarily distracted by chaos of the paradigm shift. The same but different.

Yeah, I gleaned a lot of useful details from it as well - one of their best videos and if I had to make a guess, probably the one that will get them censored.

This end game hasn't really changed

Yep, same as it always was

just temporarily distracted by chaos of the paradigm shift

Yep, most people were, myself included. That was the plan, I guess.

As for "the plan" (of using the virus to achieve a bunch of things at once: digital currency, vaccine, corporate stock buybacks, etc) it makes sense, it all fits together and works... but it's almost inelegant and kind of "basic bitch" compared to what I thought they would do.

Low effort on their part, I must say - clever, but low effort.

To be honest, I have to hand it to them how well it all fits together - and resistance free.

This is now a complete war on information and mind control.

I don't think it's "basic bitch" at all. No guns or roundups or prisons or vaccines are needed (so far), yet compliance is.

Our new prison and guards are of the sheeple zombies around us.

The "high effort" comes next.

The title of your story Bittersweet Seeds reminded me of a good book that I read a while back and forgot about until now. Probably completely unrelated, but I thought I'd post anyways.

Paolo Bacigalupi - The Windup Girl

That's very random and welcome. I don't see the title connection, but am happy someone's slightly interested in the story I've been talking about since I got here 1.5 years ago. It's going slower but better than expected, I think.

FYI, What my title means to me : https://saidit.net/s/BittersweetSeeds/comments/s20/bittersweet_seeds_whats_in_a_name/

Slow progress : https://infogalactic.com/info/Bittersweet_Seeds When enough is presentable, I will mirror it here on SaidIt.

Thanks for the book recommendation. I'm going to order it on the first, when I have more than $19.66. I see Cory Doctorow liked it.

Cool, looking forward to reading your story. First I've heard of it at least that I remember ;)

I thought of Windup Girl because the plot revolves around literal seeds (GMO and otherwise) and there are bittersweet elements to the story. But yeah, not really related to yours.

Good to know. Thanks for the recommendation. I will get it. And when my story is presentable I'll be pushing it as hard as I can (and seeking feedback to improve it). If I don't toot my own horn, no one else will. If it's actually good, I shouldn't have to toot too much as I hope to let others do that and build up an authentic fan base.
