Oh dear, I didn't mean to be or sound dismissive, thank you for pointing it out! I think it comes down to the fact that I see everything as an Us, in the sense that the goods/bads/neutrals are all part of one, let's say, organism. You are entirely correct that it is important to keep the inclusive totality in mind, and not fall into despair about the destructive bits. While it is also important to recognize and identify the destructive forces, we can't resolve those unless and until we recognize our power and capacity to do so. And encourage the collective being to honor and support its strong fighters, rather than persecute them and put them into places like Belmarsh.

Agree completely, we have to take the good along with the bad, but still keep our eyes on where we're trying to go. Things aren't so bad, but they could always be better.
