Well from my understanding, Saturn is a planet. But in astrological themes, it presented the anthropomorphic role as a task-master or of maturity and materialistic prudence; but I can't really bank on those perspectives either because those ancestors were biased in their relation to society/astrological phenomenon. Thus they curtailed their texts to associate those meanings.
