Poetic... and chilling.

Not really, I mean the problem is simple. The characters never did anything productive.

Farmer never cooked a sheep and that is why dogs starved and then the wolves got em. The farmer could have also eaten the wolves, all he had to do was trade a fuzzy one for a gun again and shoot the big bad. But didn't...

I would say laziness and indolence was heavily involved here. Yep, really speaks more to the mind-set that wrote such a poem and failed to give the characters any productive exchanges in life. So they all died except the predators.

Author must have been haunted, drunk and depressed!

That is one completely valid interpretation.

From my point of view it's about how being a wolf will reward you.

Mine too. And it is patently true: those of us who just want to "get along with our lives in peace and quiet" are the ones who get exploited and enslaved. Those raving maniacs who want a blood bath every single day, THRIVE.

There's no punishment for taking what you want.

There's punishment if you're caught, but all that does is teach the desperate how not too.

Our society actively encourages apathy. Donate 10 cents a day to a starving child in Africa. How many of us have muted the tv and gone to the bathroom? People are paid so little that the concept of a 10 cent tax is enough to get a politician death threats.

The world is cruel and unfair. Those who ignore that fact become food. That's just the way the world is.

Eh, nope. You speak of apathy yet you spout "that's just the way the world is." When IT IS NOT.

It's the way the world HAS BEEN CORRUPTED TO BECOME. Huge difference. It doesn't have to be this way, and accepting that is "just is" is apathy, and it is surrendering your personal will to that corruption. It remains true: for evil to triumph, good men need only do nothing. You can't do anything to improve the state of things if you accept the status quo. Are you a good man or are you part of the problem?

HAS BEEN CORRUPTED TO BECOME.

Prove it. Prove that it hasn't always been this way. Some evidence that humankind haven't been bashing each other over the heads with rocks for nonsensical reasons ever since our inception. The mystical garden of Eden you claim to desire never existed. The apple wasn't bitten into. It was born in our stomachs.

for evil to triumph, good men

Crusaders thought they were good men. The people flying those planes into buildings thought they were good men. If good and evil is the side you're on, then what side were we in paradise? I hate to sound pedantically nihilistic, but living in a fantasy won't create a better future.

The proof is easily attainable: remove ANY AND ALL beliefs from your mind and you will see that man himself is pure and good. It is the thoughts, the ideas, and mostly THE BELIEFS that allow, condone, justify, motivate and glorify behavior that goes fully counter nature.

I know, you want a proof you can perceive in your current, corrupted and infected state of mind. Well you can't. Does it exist? Yes, it does. Anyone with a mental state like this knows and understands this fact. It is up to the individual to decide whether he will be one of the savages or a fully grown Übermensch.

remove ANY AND ALL beliefs from your mind

Excuse me. Um, what? Don't think too hard about it? That's your answer?

in your current, corrupted and infected state of mind.

A polite: "Fuck you." is in order.

you want a proof

Yep.

Well you can't.

Okay... so there's no proof,

Does it exist? Yes,

but it exists. But there's no proof.

Anyone with a mental state like this

Like... what? A constant state of denial and refusal to observe surroundings?

this fact.

A fact implies proof.

savages or a fully grown Übermensch.

Funny you should mention Übermensch. An ideal based off choosing one system of morality over another while oblivious to the irony of calling those with a different morality a savage when you're at the same time describing yourself as one.

You started by failing at understanding the simple sentence "remove any and all beliefs from your mind". From there, I won't subject my mind to discussing things with a mental earthworm.
