I think the goal of many of the conpiracies is to isolate people and make them dependant on the system powerful people control in order to keep people under control so this is an interesting read.

Joining groups will boost a person's self confidence. I'm sure this is a basic human need, but that need for love and acceptance can and is used all the time in order to manipulate people into doing what the people in power want.
