The US is most likely seeking to get rid of Assad by arming the rebels fighting against him because of him trying to develop the Syrian economy on his own so I think there is an importance in knowing what's happening over there.

The S.A.A found all kinds of weapons left behind by the terrorists in Homs and is seeking to create a safe passage for the civilians over there.
