They tried the "Assad gassed his own people with sarin gas, we must invade Syria for humanitarian reasons" angle literally 3 separate times in the last 10 years. It's such an obvious play at this point, I am surprised they even care to try it anymore. I guess they were probably very excited by the fact the "Saddam has WMDs" false narrative was successful in creating the $2 Trillion Iraq war and are trying to replicate that.

they got a tad greedy. Saddam didn't have WMDs so that narrative fell apart. Some have always questioned, why didn't USA just plant some WMDs there? Why even let that scandal come about, it really hurt trust in the military and govt of W Bush and also made Obama look bad for letting all the war criminals run free. Some say it's because the govt really thought that Iraq had WMDs and it was all just an honest mistake. So maybe that is true but in the aftermath they saw that no one got in trouble for such a huge costly mistake so it emboldened them to do full on false flags like in Syria.

Another one? Obama did this too. And wasn't there a second one under the Obama admin?
