The war on terror is one of the main reasons why the US government tried to justify further authoritarianism. I think people should know about the costs it brings.

The US war on terror has cost at least $5 trillion and increased terrorism by 6,500%. It's kind of outdated so you can imagine just how much money has been used up at this point.

By design. The military industrial complex gets a bunch of no-bid contracts, everyone gets to sell more bombs and bullets, and we have taken a baseball bat to a hornet's nest. It's an unwinnable war by design. It was supposed to do all of that. By getting into an unwinnable war, the bombs and bullets will keep selling forever.
