The Wikipedia article is a nice intro, but I wonder if it has been sanitized.. any other sources to add to the discussion? I'm relatively new to this.

Side note: the article reminded me quite a bit of the Game of Thrones group, the Faith Militant. When I investigated further, it turns out Cersei's infamous Walk of Shame scene was filmed in a IRL location called the "Jesuit Staircase" in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Wikipedia is about as sanitized as the corporate news. I cited it, because if it's a non-controversial, which makes the black Pope's existence non-controversial.

Oh, I definitely think you made the right choice, and I did learn something. But I'm genuinely curious about what to read next. I can Google with the best of them, but what to trust..?

I'm not sure about black pope info; given I've only recent learned of it, and and have only superficially looked into it.

If you're into Interesting searches, then search for "Kevin Annett". I doubt you'll be disappointed with what you find.
