Russia and the US will most likely end up getting into a fight sooner or later, so since they both have a a considerable influence in Europe I think knowing more about the politics related to all those nations is relevant.

Because of Russia's large amount of resources, the EU is pressuring Trump to ease the Russia sanctions due to It's influence over there.
