The only way to effectively institute gun control in the US would be through gun confiscation. No one I know would be comfortable with the government passing a law banning something and then forcibly coming into people's homes to remove it.

This style of gun control will never fly in America.

I disagree. Gun control can be effectively instituted in the US, but it would take a few generations. The NFA was surprisingly effective... All they had to do was grandfather the current ones if they are registered and make possession of an unregistered one illegal. From there, make transfer illegal and bam! Sure, you might get to keep the AR you have until you die, but your son or grandson will likely not be willing to risk the felony charge for trying to keep your AR after you pass.

(Unironically: Reeeee, no step.)

That's why they use propaganda over a generational period. The kids nowadays could care less about guns and many are afraid of even looking at one. That being said, shootings, high profile, whether fake or not help teh arms and gun industry. Obama was one of the greatest salesmen of firearms, intentionl or not. I don't think the government will have time to confiscate all the guns, possible ar-15's and equivilent rifles before the economic collapse.

And for reference looks at past presidential policy directives signed by Obama and Trump. You'll notice a trend in domestic war possibilities and economic collapse such as ful lstate forfiture of property, food and water supply. The government is well prepared, legally for an economic collapse.

Why not just assume that with the massive influx of media companies in the modern internet age and smaller local and regional media outlets getting access to a much, much wider audience via the internet, the reporting of shootings in general and school shootings specifically has increased drastically? Why is your scenario more believable?

It's not more believable, yours is. But it doesn't make it the truth. I will not convince you. And I won't post to you anything more than to watch the videos I linekd to you, including UK critical Thinker's series on Manchester, Orlando and the Fort Luaderdale shooting. He has plent yof others but unlike fake journalism, that spends little time on research, UK will spend years researchign an event, the timelines, the people involved, etc., I think you'll get a different perspective on the perspecitive of state conducted PSYOPs, which are highly effective at shaping public behavior and far easier and safer for them.

And has that drastic increase happened during the start or influx in teh modern internet age or in 2012 when they passed the Smith Mundt Modernization Act. And why even pass legislation to conduct PSYOPS and propaganda legally and domestically?
