I'm not sure what Communism means to the maker... All these were not communism because:

  • People in power were living in extensive luxury

  • 'The People' had no say

  • The ruling party as envisioned by Marx was not consistent of wise elder men

TPTB (or were) used the concept of communism to sell themselves to the people.

You can do the same picture with every ideology (claimed) to be used by the ruling class.

For example, Capitalism have never been tried, it always was a masked form of oligarchy. Sure you can start your own company, but when you get too ig/good it becomes dog eat dog and licking asses of the big boys to stay afloat. Nevermind the whole using the army to secure oil with wars.
