That is a fact. It's not motive - and we don't know what his intentions were before, in the moment, and after.

A fact that has to be taken into consideration when trying to figure out what is going on. A fact that speaks to his motivations. Obviously not proof of anything, but undeniably it is evidence. Reasonable hypothesis can be made. I am open to hearing contradicting evidence and alternate theories.

The guy was not thinking rationally, obviously. He carried a knife-"gun". The guy had his arm broken backwards after he managed to briefly get by security, and was possibly flustered by that. He awkwardly managed to tackle Dave off guard. It was all over in an instant - likely before he could use it. Consider what you like. Obviously he wasn't thinking rationally, whatever his intentions.

I'm pretty sure they broke his arm after the tackle.
