I'll stick with sojourner through time..... And on that note, housing is a real quagmire anymore; construction for that matter. There are some real costs that don't need to be in home building, but for the climate they're getting rammed down our throats, while artificially driving up costs immensely.

California's title 24, LEED, WELL, and a whole host of other crap is driving costs up directly. Then there are backdoor cost driving factors. For example LED's are becoming the lighting standard of the future; the added benefit is at some point we'll figure out whether they're safe for people, or not... lol, I kid you not.

There's a whole host of extras that were never needed on homes till climate change, and it's just making them ridiculously expensive, and in my opinion not good..... A lot of modern homes are literally filled with mold, all the new sealants, people don't know how to install, and presto, a 5 year old homes needing to be completely gutted..... It's progress, right?!

"Usonian", by the way, is just a more concise way of saying that someone is from the United States than "American", which could also refer to anyone else in the Americas.
