Who knows if it will shake out like this guy predicts? The article asks; " what if the BRICS nations use this crisis as an opportunity to challenge the Western Central Banking empire?" It's an interesting question. Here's my take:

  1. Russia & China have been stockpiling gold like crazy. This can back a new petrodollar with hard value.
  2. China has the world's premier manufacturing base. They also have alliances with many African countries that mine rare earth minerals needed for the things China makes. The US has also been bombing a number of these African countries, so why should they feel more loyal to US over China? (Incidentally, I read an article the other day saying that the US is pressuring Canada to ramp up a rare earth sector to ensure friendly supply, so they know they're in a bind)
  3. In addition to Africa, Russia has huge untapped resource potential in just about any area you'd like to think of, across their eleven time zone-spanning country.
  4. The BRICS countries plus Africa can represent a consumer market base with massive growth potential. Educate them and support their economies, and that new world order everybody talks about may just happen, albeit to a different outcome than the Klaus Schwabs of the world might prefer.
