"We" might not last as long as the Soviets did after they were shown the exit in Afghanistan. Along with the Covid debacle and the economic meltdown, it's going to be an interesting Autumn.

And make no mistake, a powerless US is going to expose a lot of places it's been propping up, to drastic changes in their countries.

Ten-thousand Americans (or more!) sit stranded in Kabul while Pashtun horsemen joyride above the city in purloined Blackhawk helicopters!

Those who live will have interesting stories, but when did "going to Kabul" become a thing to do?
