The problem with age-gating the internet is that it's nearly impossible to enforce for "less legitimate" websites or overseas websites that don't care. And any effective age-gating will essentially destroy online privacy (well what little remains of it) and have a chilling effect across the internet.

Again China bans porn, along with all sorts of other content the government doesn't want people there to see. It's all easily bypassed with a VPN and the government can't do shit to stop it nor do they care, since anyone publicly talking about it can just get hauled off.

Something like this gives parents the tools they need to enforce it themselves though. If your child's personal device can detect if nudity is on screen and block it (AI can do this) we can solve the age-gating problem at the end-user's level.

The child will simply find a way to turn such technology off.

Nudity isn't so much the issue. I don't get why people get so hung up about nudity specifically, do you wear a blindfold when you take a bath or use the toilet?

...we're talking about porn my guy, not having a shit. It's a numbers game, you're going to be able to block some kids from accessing porn with this sort of thing so at least our society will be that much more healthier in 20 years.
