It's so sad that the teaching profession selects people too dumb to question authority to become teachers. It creates a feedback loop of stupidity.

Look at the people who choose to become teachers. The smart ones realize the pay is shit for dealing with all the hassle and move to the private sector. How would you incentivize rational, sane, smart people to take the job?

I don't think the problem is "the hassle". The problem is gatekeeping. At several steps along the way intelligent people get pruned from the path. If you voice a dissenting opinion to a teacher your grades will suffer. If you have political opinions right of center you get sabatoged.

The profession is controlled by the far left and they make sure to push their politics above all else.

Parents who want to change things are regularly blackballed at school board meetings.

We need to give those parents more power to change things. School voucher porgrams are a good start.
