It is still up - letsrollforums.com. Isn't all that active, but many folks are nowadays opting for reddit-clone style forums as opposed to the old-school BBforums/vBulletin, etc. Forums rise and fall, especially conspiracy-themed ones. In some cases, I'm sure they're bought out by gov't actors with an NDA signed by the forum owners, and they move to Tahiti or someshit.

Yes, I see several spam messages (just like we see here constantly when clicking on the 'new' tab), but also many directly relating to 9/11 investigations. It looks like the forum was created by memeber Phil Jayan, who, in his inital stickied post Forum Questions, Issues, Bugs and Suggestions states that he doesn't have a lot of time for that first post, which leads me to believe he's a pretty busy guy and just threw that forum up to continue it after the old forum lost it's hosting (or whatever the case was). According to his profile, he was last seen on Nov 21, 2022, so he obviously doesn't keep tabs on the site every day and clearly needs some help with moderation.

Maybe you could create an account over there, drop Phil a line and offer to help with spam reduction/moderation, if you have time. Seems like decent forum software, I don't see any trackers listed in uBlock Origin, so the site looks safer than this site as a matter of fact, which is behind Cloudflare that does indeeed track users. Why Saidit is Cloudflared is beyond me, because doing so shows a lack of respect for users imo. There are other methods of DDOS protection that do not involve compromising user's privacy.

EDIT: Also, remember that 9/11 happened over 20 years ago, and isn't the hot topic is was back when the site was originally created. Users are elsewhere now, on other platforms that get more traffic where their posts generate more views and discussion.

Can you point me to at least one relevant discussion there? I shifted thru a bunch and all I saw were random topics so I just use the wayback machine to find the good stuff on their old forum.

He needs to have an OT section to have that crap if he wants it. A long time ago there was one forum that had a section called 'The Tubes' which was the spam section and it said 'Beeeeeeeware the tuuuuuuuuuuubes!" I don't remember the forum and probably a good thing though it was a silly name.

"Why Saidit is Cloudflared is beyond me" Because the internet is fake? Remember to believe NOTHING in this day and age. We are all being used there are so many reasons it could be. Perhaps state or global actors inflitrated Sad it. Perhaps Sad it was in bed with them or got in bed with them at some point. Perhaps Said It sold out because the cost of upkeep was too much? Who knows. Until we know who really killed JFK it's all a big conspiracy show.

It's generally agreed in the FOSS community and among developers who are privacy and security conscious that using Cloudflare is simply a lazy approach to DDOS mitigation. I've mentioned in another thread that I've long considered developing a similar forum, would not use Cloudflare, would have a .onion address accessibele using TOR, and I would ensure the site to be operational with javascript turned off. I do respect user privacy above all other things, and while I agree clearnet is flooded with AI and content mill-generated content, there is still plenty of organic content to be found. I know this because I am typing this reply with my fingers. Of course, you have no way of knowing this for certain, but you're gonna just have to take my word for it.
