[Hangman's picture]: first time?

Our country has extremely rigorous hate speech law. A former Interior minister became pissed at Bishop marching at gay pride parade and said why are you proud of sin, pride is a sin.

Then she was prosecuted under hate speech law. I dont know whether she was convicted or whether case is pending appeal. But it hinges on whether homosexuals WERE insulted, if so the conviction is automatic.

Totally harmless comment (Pride is a sin, all pride not just gay one) and years of litigation in court.

Russia has the worst law (art. 282) some vatnik (drunk russian) said f*ck Chechens in internet and he was hauled to court and was sentenced to prison.

That sounds really dystopian. So, you have to be 100% positive online, 100% of the time? Can't complain about anything, disagree, get miffed, or express offense, lest you hurt anyone's feelings? Then go to jail? Yikes.

The article is fairly alarming. I am not surprised this is happening under Biden, though. Long story short; Biden's government is throwing a lot of money at Universities to perfect AI-based censorship of any ideas, theories, or opinions that the administration doesn't want to gain traction or credence on social media.
