After being banned from Reddit 5 times, no other alternative is really helping what do I do.?

ok so, I feel like I have no outlet for expression if that makes sense.

the lack of content and users and some communities, makes me feel boxed in an like I'm talking to no one.

I've felt better being away from the toxicity of reddit, but at the same time, I miss giving advice, sharing my opinion, and dming ppl.

I've been so antsy lately.

yea im a loser I know, but my phone is a part of my fun and unwinding time.

what should I even do?

I feel like I have nothing to look forward to anymore

It is what it is. I don't get to interact on as many topics here, as there just aren't so many users I can find a group focused on every topic that interests me, but at least I can express my opinions here. The major platforms are really censorious, and the smaller ones have much less engagement. Its not an optimal situation, but I'll make due with this over fucking with reddit, its just gotten too oppressive and I won't be a part of it anymore. Nothing will change unless people leave those shitty popular platforms for ones with better policies

Maybe you should take all your opinions that got you banned and trash them.

Then you should accept the opinions of mainstream Redditors as fact and your own. Then you can enjoy your forum and never worry about being removed again.

Saidit has become something of my go to place to browse and enjoy the mild company of a few friendly people who have varied interests and opinions. There is plenty of room for expressing yourself, but perhaps where Reddit is toxic it is also somewhat bombarded by masses of randoms who are impersonal. It's a bit more cosy here.

My nigga! You like dming random people too? Dming random people on saidit is surprisingly fun. Not too long ago I dmed /u/asshole, asking him to call me an asshole. He refused to do it because he "didn't understand the request" and that he wouldn't call someone an asshole if they're not an asshole. Damn! Perhaps I need to step up my asshole game......

There's another guy who I won't name that I wanted to dm. But I pussied out and didn't end up dming him. I suppose I'm addicted to the rush of anticipating what people's responses would be like.

            I would find a way to balance out on-line time with real-life time. Go for a walk, get yourself a treat at the gas station (a donut or something), sit outside, watch the leaves fall. Use SaidIt as a supplement to your life, not a replacement for fun or connections.

            A lot of us have our brains so hard-wired to enjoy electronic visual and auditory stimulation that logging off can feel weird. Try to re-train your nervous system to enjoy simpler things. Get out in nature. Read a physical book. Listen to some music minus any visual stuff.

            Hey, thus is really good advice. Thank you for taking the time to write it. Yea like, I was addicted to reddit. Now it's like, I have nothing to do. Even with the alternatives I use, I still find myself pretty much fine looking at all the new posts in about 15 minutes when normally I'm on reddit like literally all day.

            You're really welcome, man. Trying to get off of social media has been a journey for me. It's all about re-wiring our brains to go back to 1990's mode, and just enjoy basic things, and sitting still. Find a hobby. Maybe get a pet or a houseplant so you'll have something alive and cute to take care of, and interact with. Pets are awesome. Force yourself to take walks. The more you direct yourself to enjoy life off-line, the happier your brain will get with simple stuff.

            Back in the day, my Dad would spend all day in the basement taking apart old radios and computers and putting them back together. That was his hobby. Try to find something fun and tactile to get involved with, even if it feels silly at first. Model airplanes, electronics, drawing, hiking. You'll fill up your time better, and enjoy yourself, too.
