I'm not terribly surprised. They are at war, and leaders always try to maintain social control to keep public support for their agenda. The US has done a ton of this too, Nixon outlawed all the psychedelics because he thought it was making people anti-vietnam war. It sucks to be a citizen in a country that is trying to control public perception and attitudes during war time

I agree. But it seems we get our perceptions controlled no matter what. War time is much more serious though.
