PayPal locked me out when I moved from the US to Canada in late 2007. Haven't been back since.

Same here, when moving from UK to Asia. For a few years I could bypass them demanding a UK phone number by just hitting back on my browser, but eventually that stopped working. Since I haven't had a UK phone number for over 15 years I couldn't 'verify' I was the same guy using the service for all those years.

And no, you can't transfer a PP account to another country. They really are a PITA company

I never had one issue paying for anything since I closed my paypal account.
