It's interesting to note that this search appears in the default list of options in browsers (as far as i can tell), and the better alternatives don't. maybe they had an ultimatum, and/or wish to position themselves as the "less googly google" that normies can switch too without much fuss. Put less charatably, they're controlled opposition in a, possibly emergent or informal conspiracy with the bigger search players, the state, media etc. I'll move to Brave and get Brave search for free.
