Twitter banned Trump, and he couldn't do much about it. The law is generally interpreted as allowing private companies to censor whatever the hell they want, it's the government that is not supposed to be censoring speech according to the law

That's why the AT&T broke up happened as it was realized they could block the telephone line of the President and he'd be f'ked say during an emergency he needed to get orders thru: It lead to the Ma Bell/AT&T break up and lead to the home phone revolution of the 80s and 90s where you had many choices and colors instead of black or black. Most of the phones stopped being produced by 2000 and anyone who bought one in the Bush era were actually holdovers from the 90s. By 2010 some cities and towns were starting to rip out telephone cables to go wireless only. It hasn't quite happened here in Oregon yet but we are always 10 years late.

interesting, didn't realize that was the reason they broke it up. Just knew that it created licensing issues with Unix, and that is why we got stuck with Bill Gates dumpster fire of an operating system

The mouse was invented by Xerox and they didn't know what to do with it. Bil Gates also stole Windows from them. Xeros sued but failed to have a secured patent.

Unbelievable how old Bill managed to get so rich by inventing nothing

Biden isn't gonna bite the hand that feeds. As for Trump and free speech, it's all here: https://gameruprising.to/index.php?threads/donald-trump-joins-rumble-%E2%80%93-rumble-bans-criticism-of-the-jews.24570/

This quote describes Breitbart and other similar services quite well!!:

"Normies will respond by: 1) Accusing you of blaming Da Joooooooooooos 2) Ignoring it all completely. 3) Accuse you of believing anti-Israel propaganda from the mainstream media. 4) Feigning ignorance as to anything other than knowing who Donald Trump is. 5) Asking why Jared Kushner's religion matter.

The only possible hope here is that there really are some normiecons who don't like Kushner because he's a librul, but even those people refuse to believe that Trump could be manipulated. This episode is conclusive proof that all concerns about Kushner's influence were valid. All."

I had no idea it went that deep. No wonder it seems like Trump was close to the truth but couldn't get past a few key points. He kept revving his engine forwards but kept getting wheel spin like in Train Simulator when you jam the throttle to soon and too fast.

Rumble changed its terms of service (ToS) to explicitly ban criticism of the Jews.

Rumble doesn't ban criticizing Jews. Rumble bans anti-semitism. Rumble bans all forms of racism and hatred.

I'm sure they will spend lots of effort differentiating between the two, being a publicly traded pro-Trump social network.

We'll have to see how it goes. Here's a good video there about Tucker Carlson's documentary on George Soros.

Trump on the other hand blew several opportunities he could've seized in the beginning when he was in his firing spree but instead kept putting his foot in the mouth then couldn't get his foot back out.

What are you stupid? Twitters stock dropped 7% because of Trumps ban. This is the mentality of these people: They will sacrifice 7% of their money to achieve their goals. Reddit suffered the same fate when they banned r/the_donald.
There is no reasoning with these companies because they are run by people who dont have anyones interests at heart: They dont care about their shareholders, they dont care about money - they care about looking like they are doing something worthwhile and they will sacrifice their core business to do so.

The federal government can't directly force big tech to censor or not. All they can do is make strong recommendations, and it's in their best interest for censorship to continue since it's effectively a workaround for the limits of 1A and allows them to easily classify anything against them as "dangerous misinformation."

There are only two things that bring back free speech on the web at this point:

  1. A cultural shift/revolution in support of free speech, or
  2. Decentralization and other technologies that are inherently censorship resistant

Considering how things are currently going, 1 isn't happening anytime soon.

Trump is a boomer and Biden is braindead. They are not the answer.
