Discussing opposing viewpoints civilly and respectfully without the the expectation of persuading the audience is a lost art.

That is why you need to be exposed to more of what is on here. And getting to vent actually results in less negative actions.

Why can't more on the Left be like the older folks on the left? "I may not like what you have to say, but I'll fight to my death for your right to say it."

This is why most newspapers have comments sections even though it costs them loads of money to keep them moderated. If they don't then their readers start harassing the reporters directly.

race realism is . . . reality

so if you're honest you have to talk about it

[–]Tiwaking 15 insightful - 5 fun15 insightful - 4 fun16 insightful - 5 fun -  (23 children)

It is possible to be a race realist and not be a racist. Race realism is 100% real. The NBA and NFL is full of amazing black athletes. Olympic marathon running is dominated by Kenyans. Physical differences between races, not cultures, exists.
But for some reason brains are off limits for racial differences? Thats ridiculous special pleading nonsense spouted by communist retards.

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

nah it's the same thing

racist just means recognizing there are differences between the races.

[–][deleted] 7 insightful - 2 fun7 insightful - 1 fun8 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I thought "racism" was supposed to actually mean treating the other race socially as bad or "other" based on said trait differences.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

race plus ism, should be obvious

[–]BootsAndBeards 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

I don't think I buy that. Take hockey for instance, a lot of the same build, strength, and stamina requirements of football but radically different demographics of players. The Black kid who dreams of making it and becoming a famous NFL or NBA player is a trope for a reason. They see people like them who made it and they pursue it like crazy, its no wonder they are over represented in certain sports. Or the fact that Black people live mostly in urban areas, where Basketball as a sport dominates, or the South, where high school football teams can have stadiums that make colleges blush.

I recall reading how ancient Greek cities would specialize in certain weapons. It might start that one guy from Rhodes becomes a famous bowman, so it comes that Greeks elsewhere expect Rhodians to be expert Bowmen and Rhodians themselves idolize their local hero and strive to be like him. Cultures often adopt and reinforce stereotypes in a positive way.

[–]jet199 5 insightful - 2 fun5 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Athletics is a better window on the phenomenon.

Every kid who has the option to turn up for track and field has the opportunity to try all the events and then go into the ones which suit them best.

Canbot 2 insightful - 1 fun - 11 hours ago It is NOT possible to talk about race realism and NOT be called a racist.

Oh true. I forgot people could call people who are not racists racist

[–]Canbot 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (13 children)

You also forgot that it is an opinion no matter how you slice it. So when you say that you can do x and not be racist that isn't necessarily true. That can only be true if there is an agreed upon definition of racist, and agreement on the limitation of that definition.

However, it is YOUR opinion that some people are racist when they talk about race realism. Why is your opinion more valid than anyone else's? Why is the line of where racism starts set by you?

Being racist is so subjective as to be a meaningless thing. I find that everyone who objects to other's racism is really racist themselves but against a different group. It is thier membership in an opposing ideology that determines thier objection, not really a trait of the other person.

For example those who believe that most people who talk about race realism are racist won't admit that affirmative action and CRT are racist. While those who get pissed off about affirmative action generally deny that blacks have to deal with many consequences of the poor reputation of thier race.

[–]Node 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (10 children)

That can only be true if there is an agreed upon definition of racist

Basing thoughts, opinions, or actions on race. It's difficult to do otherwise if one accepts the concept of race, as the definition of racism explains.

racism: the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities

If you believe joggers have dark skin and kinky black hair, you're a racist exhibiting racism. If you think you can identify an east Asian by their straight black hair and squinty eyes, same deal.

And so, anyone who acknowledges actual reality is 'a racist', by definition.

[–]Canbot 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (9 children)

And so, anyone who acknowledges actual reality is 'a racist', by definition.

That is YOUR definition of racism, and at least you recognize that it is so broad as to literally include everyone who isn't absolutely retarded. But even denying reality does not exempt you from being racist under that umbrella. One can have opinions about group characteristics entirely removed from reality.

It is an entirely useless definition, and it is used by those who disingenuously use claims of racism as weapons because they can simply use it against anyone at any time and use that definition as justification.

There are other, better definitions. For example using group chricteristics to judge individuals when evidence exists that those characteristics don't apply to that individual.

[–]Node 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

That is my definition of 'racist', and it's based on the meaning of words. I'm not sure why I'd want to be exempt from accurately perceiving reality, so of course I'm racist...

using group chricteristics to judge individuals

The characteristics just help 'identify' the individuals most likely to possess the abilities and qualities you either want or don't want. FBI statistics offer some insights into those details.

A lucky win in a casino doesn't mean you should sell your house and put it all on black, just as finding a magic negro doesn't mean you'll ever be that lucky again. People who ignore statistics and probabilities generally end up losing.

By YOUR definition. Which likely is so broad as to be meaningless. People who use that kind of definition are usually hypocrites who are inconsistent on what the definition is or when it is applied.

I don't see what is racist about acknowledging the scientifically proven fact that there is an intelligence difference between racial groups. As long as one does not claim that this proves any one individual is smarter than another based solely on membership in a group.

That is why they need what happened to whites in the past, a culling. I mean, first we lost settlers to the weather and a lack of food. So it took the heartiest to survive. As we had problems with crime in the old west, there were lynch mobs and hanging judges. And we lost frontiersmen as they traveled west. But slaves were the worst of the worst and we brought them here after the trials of the past.

And yeah, we had blacks before the slaves, though not too many, such as the First Continental Congress President.

Reparations are what started the second world war, Germany was in financial disarray but still had to pay reparations for the first world war. Then Hitler showed up and blamed you guys for the whole deal. Germany recovered financially when Hitler took power. Reparation makes sense if you're making amends to those directly affected, making reparations to people whose ancestors were wronged makes no sense, things are fine now, you can achieve your potential with no one standing in your way because of your race. so instead of moaning about how bad it used to be for your people, you could speak for those who are currently being wronged. ...............Palestinians come to mind

    [–]jet199 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

    Nope.

Germany hardly paid any of their repatriations for the war and they were written off. Meanwhile Germany took repatriations from Russia, who surrendered to them.

It was the guilt of losing the first world war which drove Germany to a second war and repatriations were just a political football at the time. Even without them the same thing would have happened.

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

the lesson is might makes right, you need to get powerful ennough that you don't have to pay reparations. Or get powerful enough that you can make others pay reparations. Reparations have no connection to anything owed if it's ancestors and not the people that were wronged. It's just taking money. Black people might and probably will end up getting them, due to decades of playing smart political games and allying with jews who want to divide and conquer.

1.32 Million Jews Were Killed in Just Three Months During the Holocaust

In just 21 months, from March 1942 to November 1943, Operation Reinhard claimed the lives of 1.7 million people. But the bulk of the killing happened during September, October and November of 1942, Stone found.

The reason for the murderous surge can be traced to Adolf Hitler, as well as Heinrich Himmler, a high-ranking Nazi, who announced in July 1942 that almost every Jew in the General Government (German-occupied Poland) should be "liquidated" by the year's end. This order propelled Operation Reinhard forward.

No shortage of people here would say there never were 5 million covid deaths either. Mask and quarantine mandates, early retirements, and market uncertainty are the cause of most of our economic troubles, deliberately throwing a minority in camps most people already did not like causes none of these issues. Besides most of the deaths were in the east and occupied countries, so the Germans were unaffected while the locals had much bigger problems to deal with.

What's especially dishonest is the tendency of many Saiditors merely to parrot far-right-wing talking points heard on Fox 'News' or at disinformation distributors noted at /s/shitpostnews, rather than think for themselves about the actual consequences of not trusting scientific research, or genuinely believing that non-whites should somehow be removed from the US, or the lie that smaller government and unregulated corporations will help the 99%, or relying on the other far-right disinformation that's pushed by the .01% . [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I agree - they too are indeed biased. 4 issues:

        1) Part of their bias is what they leave out of their reporting (eg. problems with M.E. geopolitics and the roles of the US, Israel, Turkey, Russia &c in Syria and other conflicts)

        2) Media bias check does not check on the lack of speculation of news media, but on the role of speculation and bias, of which AP and Reuters are least guilty

        3) AP and Reuters do not focus on interpretation or a specific agenda (at least not as much as other news agencies do)

        4) Propaganda is specifically about "promoting a political cause or point of view," which AP and Reuters are the least obvious about, if they do at all, and the majority of their reports are not obviously biased (even if they do seem favor some countries over others, which they don't do explicitly)

Heavily censored places deny reality with contemptible arrogance, that’s no fun.

This is not true. All the leftist spaces are just as racist, but they are exclusively racist against white people. It is not the racism that bothers you, it is the lack of a homogenous anti white narrative. It has never been "peoples opinions" that needed censoring, it is all the facts that contradict the bullshit you want to push. No one censors flat earthers. What triggers people is evidence that they are wrong.

Is something bigoted if it’s true? No.

Most black people are less intelligent and more violent than any other group. They’re ancestors lived on an actual ghetto continent, where the smarter ones left to find better places. When the Central African kingdoms ran out of gold to pay the Arabs (for weapons), they sold their peasants as slaves. These are dumb, violent people.

I cannot even stand to listen to or read kosher PC media, it's so fucking transparently fake. What's the difference between propaganda and just accepting comments that fit your narrative? None. It's the old "a million monkeys typing", but it's a 4 billion and there's a Shakespeare filter, only it's a Kosher filter.

Mime is a good name for you. As you are mimicking a conversation, and yet have said nothing of value.

Which do you wish for me to explain? How that I find his argument to contain no substance? Or how social media voting works?

How about you tell me and everyone reading this what you found so insightful about his post, and I'll be able to understand you better AXXA.

          words can't hurt you

          Sentence upon sentence
          Words are healing lament
For the death of my cock's spirit
Has no meaning in the soft fire
Words got me the wound and will get me well
          If you believe it

The -phobe words are lingual propaganda. Suggests to the common person that it is a fear borne of ignorance.

All suicide bombers are illiterates from underdeveloped regions, who have never read the Quran(Islamic holy text), and who only follow their sheiks(spiritual leaders)with no way to know if they are being fed lies. And the sheiks are only in it for material reasons... It is reported that the Islamic prophet Muhammad once said "those who attack their non-believer neighbors with whom they had been living peacefully without provocation, won't even be granted the scent of heaven let alone enter it."

I'm not saying there are no muslim assholes out there, I'm saying there are assholes in every community, congregation, race and faith. It's not fair to brand a single community as being entirely rotten, every tree has a rotten fruit hanging on it. people just like pointing to a specific tree and saying "have you ever seen such ugliness"

most muslims are assholes, not accurate to say all but it's like 99%
