It is far more important that people realize that these colleges have no credibility. That we live in the new dark age. Academia has become a joke.

Agreed. My suggestion is that those of us who are in a position to hire people (e.g., if you work as a manager at a business) don't hire people with university degrees. Kids from blue collar backgrounds are easier to train IMHO anyway even at white collar tasks, and don't have the same set of bad habits that college kids have.

On top of that, why not send your kids to one of the Christian universities? Or send them to college in Poland or someplace.

I think that the best angle of all that I've considered would be to help your kids set up businesses and achieve true independence rather than to train them to be dependent upon the neoliberal system.

I've started doing exactly that. In my position, as long as you have basic math skills there is literally nothing we can't train you to do. And I will go out of my way to avoid the woke-infected, I certainly don't want them in my office.

so true. when i get the call every 6 months to donate to my old school,i inform them that i have no money to give, because not only was it a waste of time and money, ive already 'donated' a small fortune just by going through it.

Cornell will be fine, the school has a $10 billion endowment.

Good to see you oppose free speech. On a free speech site.

Popper's maxim: we must not allow free speech to those who will abuse it to advocate for the abolition of free speech.

When did I say I oppose free speech?

"Don't worry, the university is powerful and wealthy, this protest by the filthy peasants will have no effect" is taking the side of the powerful. Siding with the enemies of free speech is not a free speech position.

Of course, you say this on a free speech website. Abusing freedom of speech to oppose free speech. That's the paradox of tolerance, in which tolerance should not be tolerated.

And I've said something similar about those who oppose "intolerance." "Intolerance of intolerance is still intolerance."

"Don't worry, the university is powerful and wealthy, this protest by the filthy peasants will have no effect"

Who typed that out? It sure as hell was not typed out by me. Can you copy and paste what I said as opposed to making stuff up?

Of course, you say this on a free speech website.

Saidit also removes speech so it's not free speech. If Saidit was truly free speech there would be no pyramid of debate because all speech in all ways expressed would be welcomed.

Not a penny, ever again. Same for the pretender Pope: never another penny.
