it sounds crazy but it seems like spez might be anti vaccine himself but has been overruled.

I know he's nuts on other things but he made a sane post about not censoring anti vaccine talk 6 days ago and now this overrules him and is posted by someone else.

Possible I suppose. The most recent post:

https://old.reddit.com/r/redditsecurity/comments/pfyqqn/covid_denialism_and_policy_clarifications/

Basically says the EXACT opposite of what spez's post said.

FYI, I'm not a fan of the term "anti-vaccine." Most of the skeptics are skeptics of these specific injections, in terms of effectiveness and safety.

I will note there's been a massive push to discredit and demonize "anti-vaxers" over the last 20 years, which seemed super-odd to me, given I never met one in real life. However, seeing how Covid was handled (by big-tech, big-pharma, WHO, CDC, etc) .... it makes me strongly suspect that the "anti-anti-vaxers" were a bunch of astrotrufers (hired by Big-Phara? Bill Gates? W.H.O.? World Bank types?)

"OMG, nutty conspiracy theorist!"

Whatever, they're doing it out in the open:

I guess I might have been considered an anti vaxxer before, as I never would get them, being the flu shot was recommended to take each year and I never did. Other ones I did take back when I was a little kid and didn't have a say or didn't know much about what the shots were for. Now then I did get the covid vaccine because my job required it. So am I anti vaccine despite getting it? I'd say yeah it's just we don't have freedom not to get it but we do have freedom in our thoughts at least. That's what 1984 was really about, their end goal is to change our thoughts.

My parents had me vaccinated as a kid; most of those injections were well tested and understood at the time, and using relatively standard technique. I got a flu-vaccine once ... but I got the flu that year, and in the past 20-years, I think I've gotten the flu twice (including that year).

Now then I did get the covid vaccine because my job required it.

There are times in my life I'd have had almost no choice financially, and had to go along with it. For the moment, I'm basically self-employed, and don't have to worry about it ...yet. If I have to re-enter the job market, it could become a major obstacle though.

So am I anti vaccine despite getting it? I'd say yeah

One of the few upsides of this whole thing, is it's exposed a LOT of problems with the vaccine system in the US to a much broader audience than ever before. "Do vaccines cause autism?" Fuck if I know. What I do know is that vaccine manufacturers have ZERO liability, and the VAERS system has a lot of problems. Then there's all kinds of other stuff exposed, like the WHO's reputation of curing diseases, benevolence, etc was completely undeserved, and instead they're a political organization driven by financial interests.

I'm reminded of drugs prescribed to me when I had a severe accident. I told the doctors that I was aware of {insert injuries} but I didn't want anything addictive. They prescribed me two drugs; I forget which ones they were now, but they were basically two extremely addictive painkillers. After quick research, I didn't bother picking them up from the pharmacy. I'd rather deal with severe pain for a time, than severe addiction.

You can just look around at the opioid crisis right now, and recognize that the medical industry often doesn't have your best interests in mind, and ... while they should be consulted, shouldn't be blindly trusted.

Setting aside the ABSURD amounts of money these injection manufacturers are making, the point of this isn't really these specific injections, but rather to be able to force you to get medical treatments, when they want, without your consent.

speaking of opioids, at least they have a purpose. I had a surgery and got prescribed oxycontin after and I took it, and it got rid of the pain which is great, but it didn't make me addicted, I stopped taking them once I recovered, I don't get why people get addicted to it, it's not that great a feeling. Just kind of fuzzy. If that's the same as heroin I don't get that either, what is supposed to be so great about it? I smoke weed and I guess that is psychologically addictive, it does make me feel good not going to lie, but I can go months without taking it so I don't think I'm that addicted. I think people that get addicted to things have weak minds and they could stop if they really wanted.

Same. Some people could apparently get 'addicted' to practically anything. I mean, just stop taking or consuming that substance once you realize it's a problem.

I know a couple actual anti-vaxxers IRL. They are absolutely retarded in most things, not just vaccines. Every single one of them got this jab for instance. They were eager to hop in line.

On the bright side, if they already had autism, they can't catch it again. ;)

Autism might help these people tbh.

"Spez" is only being saved from un-personhood because some believe he's essential to getting the IPO launched. If the IPO goes through, he'll be liquidated.

he might even get aaron swartzed so he needs to be careful. Just surprising but you'd think he already knew that supporting covid related free speech is not allowed.
