The majority of the population has become absolutely irrational. This includes people within my circle of friends and family. It's beyond confusing and tragic to watch. I keep asking myself what will tip them over? At what point will what they see be so crazy their eyes open? But they just keep going along... This is a more mysterious phenomenon than I ever in a million years could have imagined. Reality really is stranger than fiction.

People did not become irrational. They came out that way.

Your fiction happened, more or less. The idea of "progress" and rationality is modern invention. The ancients understood hysteria and irrationality. It is why they were both more permissive and more brutal.

You are of the lucky few who straddle that line. We see the horrors, we read of ancient horrors, and we will not be immortalized by our censorious masters to come. Take comfort in that, because no soul wants to live forever in a beast.

The idea of "progress" and rationality is modern invention.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately. It looks like we're starting the next dark age. I agree that the development of the ideals underpinning the enlightenment which led to the true "Liberal" order (not the current version) were a historical anomaly. I still can't really imagine how those ideals ever actually succeeded.

So yeah, you're right. A brutal completely inflexible ruling class will actually be more of a move back to the norm rather than something exceptional.

What is shocking to me is that people I have known and trusted all my life are going right along with this. I cannot understand how they don't see where it's leading. The writing on the wall could not at this point be any clearer.

Don't be shocked that man can be bribed by bread and circuses, and cowed by the fear of the dark. That's also ancient wisdom. We are returning to the old ways after passing a strange meal, a hallucination of liberty.

Of course, our traditions differ. Some of us are especially disagreeable. I look forward to proving that.

they are using some form of hypnosis or mind control to take over the entire world. This is a new kind of war, unlike previous wars that were fought with guns and bombs.

If what i am suggesting were true, what would prevent a situation where the "vaccinated" will become violent and deadly to the "unvaccinated"? perhaps even one's own family and friends will turn on you with the intent to kill.

We cut ties with the jews and due to lucky technological advances power was distributed to whites that allowed us to fight back against a tiny minority religious tribe.

      Just keep thinning the herd until the stupid people are all gone. :D

      At first blush their plan looks evil as hell. But if you're familiar with the results overpopulation is causing, it could be seen as the tough love we've been needing.

      Normal flu deaths are just not doing the job, as there's tremendous lag inherent to a system that only takes people decades after they've bred.

      The scoffers say any eugenics program by our lovely overlords would focus on the non-compliant, who naturally oppose their plans for us. But why not just take the easy and efficient route? Get rid of the most stupid and credulous elements in your gene pool, without having to go full gestapo and risk stampeding the herd. Like Jonestown on a larger scale, but the flavor-aid is injected, not swallowed.

      Species management is not my forte, and I'm also not privy to their actual goals (leaks and documents notwithstanding), so there are probably a number of considerations I'm missing.

      Anyway, anyone inclined to accept the injection of the substance after the show they put on should do so, with a hearty "Thank you for your sacrifice" as their reward. And maybe an ice cream, or a $100 bill.
