4Chan is not "Anonymous" and the censorship there rivals that of Reddit and Twitter. That is why I came here.

The place was always weird but lately it has become a draconian censorship hellhole. They even try charging people money to post, what a joke. The irony is most the threads are obviously bot/shills. It used to be a place where you could post whatever you like and have an open discussion but definitely not anymore. I wonder who secretly purchased the site.

They specifically block TOR, on a website that's supposed to be anonymous, without any kind of account registration... major red flag; they obviously want to track your real IP address.

Yep. They also block VPNs....tried Nordvpn, Protonvpn, Expressvpn, all blocked on 4chan.

I use Saidit on Tor.

Historically yes, reddit started as a free speech site. IMO decentralization is the path to freedom.

it already has. ive been censored here just as much as reddit before i dropped that garbage. but i was told i wasnt censored in an earlier thread about this, so i guess im delusional.

      Not everybody pines for their glory days on the High School Debate Team, nor gives a rat's ass about engaging in pointless debating of those that will never change their minds, irregardless of what evidence or proof is presented. Try debating a Flat Earth Society pinhead for a quick lesson is futility. I may on occasion debate, but mostly I prefer simply making comments and moving on. When googling saidit what comes up is:

      Saidit.net - say your truth.

      Maybe this should be changed to 'debate your truth', if that is to be the foremost criteria of what is or is not welcome here. As for 'disappearing' comments or opinions, that is indeed censorship, and against the intent of 'Free Speech'. You can call it 'filtering' or whatever other spin you want, but the leftist love of redefining words and concepts inconvenient to their wants and needs is still BS, even if it is not being done by or for leftists. If you want Saidit to be exclusively an online debate club, that is your choice. If you want to censor, disappear, filter out (or whatever) anything that does not conform to NPDA Rules of Debating, that is also your choice. Just don't fool yourself, as this will cost Saidit a large chunk of patrons. I suspect many (if not most) came to the Reddit alternatives (Saidit, 8kun, Ruqqus, Voat, Poal, Mewe, etc.) to send a loud and clear FU to Stevie Huffman, his wannabe-censor mods and banhammer-loving admin, along with their well groomed commie-socialist-leftard-libturd echo chamber.

        It's probably the FBI that infiltrated it. I have an image from 2010 in which a whistleblower points this out, as well as various things about the website that support the conclusion. Moot has cooperated with law enforcement from the beginning, of course, and it said that the FBI took over moderation on /b/ entirely (to moot's frustration). The hint for that was that whenever there were new janitor applications, they'd accept them for any board except for /b/. This was before the censorship and shills, but if it's true, you don't have to second-guess who's behind that.
