Don't let them get your kids. When it gets really insane it can be proven to be so with statistics.

They will be faked, just like how climate data is faked.

They are now moving science into a new realm. Profit-based AND simulation-based experiments. I'm not even kidding here. Many of the experiments and data that you read about in papers today aren't done in the REAL world, but in a simulated computer world.

The first humans on Mars will do so in a simulated reality.

you're right, statistics got us into this mess, I'm high for thinking that they can help get us out of it.
