SuperMarioLogan is getting terminated tomorrow!!!!!!

"Nintendo" (which used to like his vids) apparently sent him a Cease and Desist letter demanding he stop using Nintendo references on his channels. Well apparently using the human puppets was not enough and now he said all his channels are being taken down June 1st 2021 which is tomorrow! I wish this was a joke but it's not, here's the proof! https://www.youtube.com/sml/community

I kind of wonder whether it was actually Nintendo or if it was really someone else trying to fake excuses to wipe out all remaining channels that aren't directly under the control of Google Inc. We know YouTube hates SML's guts, and in the past 2 years especially we've seen most of the old YouTubers quit (ExplodingTNT, PinkSheep), get rebranded by YouTube Inc. (SMG4), or get demonetized or terminated for no reason, to be replaced by completely obvious plants and hired YouTubers who instantly gain massive visibility with zero effort (Dream). Google probably knows SML is the last major remnant of pre-monetization YouTube, and while he too likes big bucks he's too stubborn to bend to their wishes all the time and won't make videos just to help them make more money. Everyone else who isn't part of the marketing scheme is either dead or buried below everything else and never sees the light of day, SML being one of the last survivors from the old days and they know it's not advertiser-friendly nor good for their desire to control everything like 1984.

We need to create a drive to get existing Youtubers to copy over their vids to others such as bitchute or Odysee

First steps... Check if any of the main Youtube competitors offers an easy migration service... also need to check Youtube's terms. Do they restrict you posting elsewhere? Don't think so, am sure I've seen some people post on there and explicitly link to other sites too.

What are the best alternatives?

*Odysee - they are too into their own coins, which requires Know Your Customer (KYC) stuff, but otherwise a good site *Bitchute *Vimeo - they seem a bit stuffy and PC *Itemfix - replaces Liveleak. Seems a bit clunky *Vidmax seem pretty good but loads slow and the registration seems broken

We can try that but these movements are unlikely to work. The only time that ever happened was Digg>Reddit, but that was started by AddictedReddit who is one of those super special people who is literally perfect and can do absolutely anything just by trying it so that's an exception. We'll have to wait and see where the trend takes us in the next couple of years.

If he got a C&D: it was from Nintendo. If it was a copyright strike (or multiple): it could have been a copyright troll. I don't think it's some conspiracy on YouTube's part, but Nintendo could be up to no good, being Nintendo.

By the way, Dream wasn't a "plant"; he gained "massive visibility" by trend-jacking — which is when you make videos about, you guessed it: trends, to capitalize on people searching for them a lot. He also knew how to game the system, by only making family friendly videos and never cussing or talking about politics. You can call him fake — which he is — but he wasn't a "plant."

No, Dream had to have been a plant because other channels that do the exact same thing as him are still buried in the hundreds of views. The few that do get Dream's instant success later turn out to have been linked to Dream in some way all along, even when this isn't apparent at first. But I'm sure it's all just a big coincidence!

No, it shows that they're connected to YouTube somehow and their channels are flagged by the algorithm so they instantly get placed at the top of everything. If he merely "knows how it works" then why does his method only work for himself and people somehow connected to him? Legit channels of that size took years and years of steady growth, and even that's impossible now with how crowded and restricted the site has become. And why do the same videos and comments from these channels automatically rise to the very top and other ones don't? Why do they never have one single failure of a video? If it was legit, it's still a gamble no matter how well you play the game; no one can get success 100% of the time like that. It's far simpler to think that YouTube saw the old channels dying and that there's no way for new ones to come along organically this late in the game, so they went the artificial route and hired a team to put out videos and made them soar in popularity for money. It's not rocket science.

I heard from their new channel that they'll be remaking their old videos (that's a lot of videos), but I found some archives on archive.org: SuperMarioLogan, SuperLuigiLogan, and SuperBowserLogan.

This is actually starting to freak me out. How do you follow all the exact same things I do? And you're far from the only one. There are a shit ton of users now that are literally just better me's and there's more of them by the day. There's some other weird stuff going on too, like SMG4 and some others seemingly reading my mind to the point where I sometimes start thinking I made the episode instead of them. I sound like I belong in an asylum right now but this is getting ridiculous so I don't care. Seriously, what kind of reality bending and universe shifting is this? Ever since I saw the fan theory about Homer Simpson being in a coma I've joked that that could be happening to any of us, but now I'm seriously starting to think it's true of me because everything that happens is that weird, "you can't control it but it comes from your mind" like dreams are.

I don't actually watch SML and didn't even know about it until I saw your post. I decided to comment because I became somewhat interested in this "data hoarding" thing (even though I don't do it myself) a while ago due to everything disappearing. (Can't seem to have anything nowadays without all these unexpected shutdowns and deletions.)

Anyway, there's a YT channel reuploading everything. At least for now, I wouldn't count on it sticking around for much longer.

Yeah, if it becomes well-known enough, I expect it to be targeted too.
