Americans say that Snowden works for the Deep State, but does that mean NSA wiretapping is not happening?

Do you think that CIA torture, TSA groping, checkpoints, curfews, lockdowns, and surveillance cameras don't exist?

From his background he seems to have worked for the CIA.
And there were many whistleblowers before him that never made it into the mainstream media.
He reported only about the spying.

By exposing limited information to the public (called "limited hangout"), the public could adapt to the idea that they were spied on. And that it was ok, because they were pretending to find enemies.

Alternatively it may have be used to reduce the power of the NSA. So the CIA could do more illegal stuff.
And they could trace back the network that wikileaks used to break the network.

It is unsure what is really going on.
