How to know you're winning an argument: When they stop having a discussion to attack your character.

The second they throw an insult at you in an attempt to discredit your personality rather than your logic two things happen: You've won the debate, but have lost the conversation.

Cult Deprogrammers talk about this. If they start attacking you as a person, step back, you would have just won if they were a normal person that wasn't brainwashed. The normal people around you agree that you have won. That doesn't mean anything to the person you were originally trying to have a discussion with.

It's a breath of fresh air to see someone refusing to apologize to those who refuse to debate.
