    Are you the BotNuker?

Is there a pattern? Does it make much of a difference? For example, if one bot gets smashed will another pop up immediately or will it reset in a certain time frame or when their master discovers it?

I've been calling them out so people don't waste their time taking to shadows.

    Yes :P

    Is there a pattern?

He posts articles (for karma or as a cover) and spams comments about "Americans" on random posts.

This bot is really smart; it knows to create a new account as soon as it's banned, and only when banned. This makes it impossible to get rid of. I'll try to do some experiments to see how it works sometime soon.

Great! A lot of people mistake it for a real user, especially when dumb luck means its comments somewhat relate to the post.

It seems to me that it might be better to just hide the bot's posts and comments. Or, create another bot "/u/BotFlagger" to follow a white list of bots to simply point them out with a comment like mine.

It might also be worth creating a script to follow all the comments to see if/when the word "bot" comes up in order to spot them, or in this case "Americans".

I was thinking about doing that, and while it can be done in specific subs, it can't be done site-wide (that I know of).

    https://saidit.net/comments/ is site wide.

https://saidit.net/comments/.rss = what comments are new in an RSS feed for a feed reader like Thunderbird or RSSOwl. (https://infogalactic.com/info/SaidIt#RSS_Feeds)

I have yet to dive into /s/SaidItBots to learn how to make a bot.
