liberalism takes the family/tribe support and extends it to non-family/tribe groups. Co-operation is important, but enabling your enemies / predators at the cost of your own kin is dumb as fuck

I guess it depends on where you draw the line. I like to help others. I'm not going to help anyone as much as I help my family though, that would just feel ridiculous.

it is definitely worth listening to what the others you may help say about you.

I figure that anyone who hates me, for whatever reason, can fuck right off. Unfortunately, at the moment 'progressive liberalism' seems to think that enabling them will make them like us

Have to agree with you on the last point.

Re. the first - if the other tribes aren't actually enemies and predators I am happy to help them a little. If they want to actively harm me? Nah.
